Bulgarian cadets become world champions at Youth MMA World Championships

Victor Ivanov has become world champion at the under 18 Youth MMA World Championships in Rome.

The competitor from the MMA club in the town of Shoumen won the gold medal in the lightweight category - 70.3 kilograms, after convincing victories against the competitors from Finland, Kazakhstan and Canada, and after winning the final match versus Islamdin Cherivmurzaev, Russia.

At the world IMMAF championship in Italy, Bulgaria won a total of three medals. Besides Victor Ivanov, a gold medal was won by Victor Ganev in the 16 and under 40 kilogram category. Victor Dimitrov, again in the 40 kilogram category (14 and under) won a silver medal.
